I like that this course was so interactive, I've done other courses that were not as in depth and I suppose that it makes me feel like you or the program creator cares more. I learned a lot about the road to come and about ways that I can be an all-around better mother to my daughter.

I really liked this program because it explained the different types of parenting styles and how I can use these methods to become a better parent. Also, how I can teach my son how to be financially responsible from a young age to how I should incorporate healthy eating habits. Overall this program is a very helpful tool. It goes into detail from when your child is a toddler all the way to when he’s a teenager I really enjoyed these classes!

I really liked how in-depth it was about how issues in childhood can affect a growing child developmentally and what each child needs according to their stage in childhood. I also liked how it gave strategies for co-parenting when solutions can't be reached and how it gave additional resources that I can search on my own. Finally, it was nice to see a detailed parenting plan broken down step by step. This is helpful because I do not have experience with that.

Most of it was a confirmation of the things that I have been learning about in my own therapy sessions, but to see that I was retaining the information was nice. The videos were helpful in some points because I was challenged at moments to visualize some scenarios. I really appreciated the definitions for legal terms as well as some of the handouts to help me organize and see if there were things I hadn't considered.

Made me think about my duty to my kids. My kids' mom is the one who filed for the divorce even though I didn't want it. She told me that I had to take this course. I was never told to take it by anyone but her. I was a bit unsure of it at first. I did get some good information on how to move forward.

This program is for parents and co-parents walking into separation or divorce. In my case I have 3 beautiful children and I lived on and off with someone but never married. I separated from my co-parent 2 years ago and have been in legal proceeding since so some of these questions are not really for me.

The things I really liked about this class was that it helped me know and understand that I am not alone when dealing with conflict with a co-parent. It taught me how to better manage it in a healthy way. Though I was already doing many of these things now, I can incorporate some other things into what I am already doing. It also made me aware of what to expect in the upcoming hearings when no one else told me or knew.

6 Hour - Co-Parenting / Divorce Class

February 15, 2024

Eliza J.

The class teaches you how to put your feelings aside and focus on the well-being of the children. It teaches you how not to put your co-parent down; how to practice a business relationship with your co-parent; never get the children in the middle of the confusion between you and your co-parent, don't use the children against the co-parent; assure the children that things will be alright; tell the children that the break-up is not their fault; be ready to answer any question the children may have; learn how to approach your co-parent more respectably. It is the parent's responsibility to make sure their children are safe. The parents are to make decisions in the interest of their children. It is wrong to look forward to a romantic date with your co-parent when you are broken up. Discuss with your children what is necessary, not the cause of your break up. Be ready to discuss with your co-parent the arrangement for caring for the children. Be ready to work with your co-parent to make the transition a smooth one for the sacks of the children. Make the same rules in each house where the children will be, to avoid confusing the children.
