While it did focus heavily on the co-parenting aspect of these situations, I really liked getting the POV of the children who have been impacted by separation and it really put things into perspective. I knew it wasn't about us but about the kids, but I liked the emphasis of it.

I really liked most of the class. I think there are a lot of things taught in the class that people will over look when separation occurs. Having been separated now for almost 5 years we have had to navigate just about everything that was in the class on our own and i wish I had this class back when we first separated.

They break down a lot of the communication process and then they give you different ways on how to communicate with your co-parent - it really makes you feel like you’re not the only one going through it. It really gives you a wide range of ways in order to help you and your child get through the divorce.

I like that each page was something new and that it did not just stick for a certain age group that it was for all age groups so I can use information learned in this class for later as my child grows older.

The sources and additional links will help further my understanding of being the best I can be for our child and just keeping the notion of who is most important. Overall it covered the dynamics of this emotional time and the tools needed to cope and be successful.

I liked how it focused on the needs of the parents as well as the needs of the children - helping parents learn ways to cope and to manage their mental health was really great. I also liked that you could self-pace through the program and could take breaks. I felt like that information given was matter of fact and didn't make parents feel guilty about making the choice to separate.
