The tools! The strategy! I wish I would have had this class sooner - specifically before we told the kids we were breaking up. I haven't had follow-up conversations with the kids and I was honestly afraid to because I didn't want to be accused of bringing the kids into adult situations. Now I understand it all better, but I think that mistake set me back in my relationship with the kids. I am also very grateful for the section on communication. I have a high conflict co-parent and it is so difficult to keep focused on solutions, but the tools here I think will help.

It gave me time to reflect and really think about the situation as a whole. By going through the process my emotions were processed further. I was able to consider where we are from a different more stable vantage point. I really appreciated hearing from the experts and incorporating their frameworks into how I'm processing and working toward a better situation for the kids.

I appreciated the emphasis, on positive co-parenting relationships. I also liked reading the developmental literature, pertaining to children of divorced individuals and how the situation (certainly) affects the children in a divorce. Although my parenting relationship with FOC/OP cannot be positive (due to his abuse), I still appreciated the dedication to emotional congruency; pertaining to children and how to effectively assist them, while they are experiencing transitions due to their parents divorcing. Thank you!

I'm a visual learner so all the materials helped me to be able to take lots of notes easily. I was able to take my time in listening to the videos compared to in person you are rushed. I really liked all the handouts and resources that were made available for us.

Some aspects of the course I appreciated were it's online format, which added convenience. Additionally, it provided insights into co-parenting, understanding children from infancy to adolescence, discerning normal and abnormal behaviors in kids, mastering communication techniques and learning how to manage various situations.

I really loved all information this class provided about the court process and I really valued that subject on taking care of yourself and your children! It was helpful to think about how I manage my stress and emotions could have a positive or negative impact on my children. I also appreciated the information about your emotions during and after a breakup. It gave me a sense of relief that what I am going through is perfectly normal!

One aspect of the program I really appreciated was gaining a deeper understanding of various behaviors and the reasoning behind them. I also valued learning new communication techniques, which have helped me remain calm and collected in high-conflict parenting situations that I'm able to use in the future. I also got a better understand how the judges and court works.

I really liked the stages of relationship breakdown and the stages of adjustment. It helped me feel normal and not alone in this process. I also really liked thinking about the children's best interest and keeping feelings out of conversations with my co-parent.
