It started out with taking care of you and why that is important for the happiness of your kids. It really dove into the stages of breaking up and how you can guide your children through it. It really drove the point that what is best for the child is what matters most.

I came into this program thinking it wasn’t exactly that important, as I thought I already knew what I needed. That is not the case after completing this course. I really like how they explain exactly everything. And how they make you feel about being in the situation. It’s not easy to do those decisions and this help they gave us does really help - either with co-parenting, yourself and most importantly for my son. I recommend it even if it’s not required.

It gave a lot of information about the different stages of the break-up and not just how divide time with the child. It was a lot of useful information on how to not only take care of yourself but how to make the transition for your child as easy as possible and also saying that there will be bumps along the way.

I really like that they are including domestic violence resources and help, lots of information for families with alcohol addiction and other substance abuse issues. Although, I think the court system falls short in protecting children within these dangerous or abusive family systems by still trying to create fairness and equality between the parents, rather than putting the child's physical needs, safety and emotional needs ahead of the wants or needs of the parents. I also really liked the videos and different perspectives shown, with a lot of relatable scenarios.
