I came into this program thinking it wasn’t exactly that important, as I thought I already knew what I needed. That is not the case after completing this course. I actually enjoyed learning from this course and listening to the professionals. I think it would be a great course for my co-partner to take part in as it could help her be a better co-parent.

It went over how people feel going through a divorce or break-up. It give great advice on how to handle different situations also I liked the part where it talked about watching what you say around the kids toward the other parent and how that could affect them. Somethings I never thought about so it was good to hear.

I really like how they explain exactly everything. And how they make you feel about being in the situation. It’s not easy to do those decisions and this help they gave us does really help - either with co-parenting, yourself and most importantly for my son. I recommend it even if it’s not required.

The statistics at the beginning of the class, helpful tips to deal with break-ups, children of divorce and helpful ways to talk to each child based on age. I realized that I'm really not alone in my situation. This class really helped me to see that my feelings towards this situation are very important and normal.

It gave a lot of information about the different stages of the break-up and not just how divide time with the child. It was a lot of useful information on how to not only take care of yourself but how to make the transition for your child as easy as possible and also saying that there will be bumps along the way.

It did shed light to specific terminology surrounding the stages of a breakup that I otherwise would have be unaware of. While it is similar to death, it certainly has its own set of step to work through whether you are aware of them or not.

I really like that they are including domestic violence resources and help, lots of information for families with alcohol addiction and other substance abuse issues. Although, I think the court system falls short in protecting children within these dangerous or abusive family systems by still trying to create fairness and equality between the parents, rather than putting the child's physical needs, safety and emotional needs ahead of the wants or needs of the parents. I also really liked the videos and different perspectives shown, with a lot of relatable scenarios.

I liked that it was self paced. I liked that there were journal entries to write meaningful responses instead of all of it being about checking boxes. The video content was nice as well.
