Learning how to communicate with children effectively after a breakup is invaluable. I found it to be an eye-opening experience that offered me a new perspective on how to handle such a difficult situation. It taught me that children are often the ones who are most affected by a breakup and that they need emotional support and guidance to help them cope with the changes in their lives. This class helped me learn many things about separation and I oriented myself to know more about many topics and I found them very important. There are many conflict factors that happen when there is separation and especially when there are children in the middle, the impact is very strong but this class will help me a lot.

I feel as if I really gained a lot from this program such as learning better ways to communicate not only with the co-parent but the child as well. I liked having journal entries to fill out as it makes you really stop and think about what you just learned and will in turn make the materials stick better.

All feelings surrounding breakups and the struggles of co-parenting are acknowledged and validated. It also has lots of input from children. It is easy for children to get lost in divorce, custody arrangements and other changes. It is good to have a chance to hear what their feelings are instead of making assumptions for them.

I really enjoyed the depth of education that went into this course. I wish I could have taken it with my co-parent. Much like therapy, this course helped me with my thoughts regarding the process of divorce and taking in consideration for all angles and emotions for my son and his mother.
