The suggestions for dealing with a high conflict co-parent. This was very validating and shows that the author has a good grasp of the behavior of a high conflict parent and how they can portray themselves as reasonable/charismatic in short stints. Almost every example was true to real life for me. The information about using professionals. I did not know about some of those options. The realistic portrayal of the mediation videos. (The one with the guy who had an alleged drinking problem but was found out to not be excessive.) It shows how necessary a neutral party can be. It also helped me see how the other parent would feel about sharing retirement, even though I disagreed with her.

I liked the examples and videos that were provided. Unfortunately, it represented incidents that I have already experienced or may experience in the future. So I feel that I have a better understanding of how to handle myself using the 4 Big Skills - which is what I hope to have the chance to teach my children.

How to manage my emotions better by checking myself, and use flexible thinking. I liked the information on how stress and negative emotions affect the brain. I enjoyed the parts about how my actions/emotions can affect my child psychologically. I also like the part about the skills parents can give their children to help the be successful adults and not high-conflict.

This program is incredible. While I didn't finish it right away, I returned to it once conflicts started to rise again with my co-parent and this program helped guide me in handling the potentially high conflict situations. I am so grateful.

The course offers information on types of co-parents and how to deal with them, child development and BIFF. It was more valuable and helpful than I anticipated and I found that I could incorporate much of what was covered into my approach.

I enjoyed the BIFF method, learning about extreme and moderate behavior - what is and isn't ok. I never knew how stress and adult problems would affect a kid's brain. I've learned to practice managing emotions, to have flexible thinking, to have moderate behavior and to check myself before I say something, to better co-parent, to come to an agreement and try to be flexible even if the other parent is difficult to deal with. It's interesting the brain can stop working when the right side (fight or flight) is being used.

I felt it was very positive focused and it should've been available and required back at the time of divorce being filed. Would have been helpful for EVERYONE to learn. We aren't taught conflict resolution or negotiation growing up.
